When Kevin Nash informed Vince McMahon of his decision to leave the WWF for WCW, McMahon asked him to comply with the time-honoured traditions of the wrestling business by putting over a number of wrestlers on his way out. McMahon requested that before Nash went to Atlanta he lost to The Undertaker at WrestleMania XII, Shawn Michaels at In Your House the following month, and The Ultimate Warrior on Raw. Nash had no issue whatsoever laying down for Undertaker, who he was friends with and deeply respected, or his best friend Michaels. Warrior was a different matter. Nash told McMahon, Hey, if he can take one on me, its all his, suggesting that the only way he would lose to Warrior would be if he came out on top in a shoot. Vince decided the risk was not worth the reward and changed plans. Ultimately, a Diesel vs. Ultimate Warrior confrontation never happened, though few shed any tears about missing that 'dream' match.
