Hulk Hogan needed an Ultimate Warrior. Thus, Vince McMahon needed an Ultimate Warrior, too. By 1991, the WWF's established series of 80s stars were all nearing a decade on top of the WWF. Therefore, it can be reasoned that the Ultimate Warrior's success was largely based around the idea that he was a fresh superstar face amid a sea of possibly overexposed faces. WWE ventured out of America for the first time with the Wrestlemania concept with Wrestlemania VI. Headlined by Hogan vs. Warrior, it set the then-new venue's attendance record and also pushed Wrestlemania to a new level of brand identity.
