If there's one thing that really stirred up some controversy in the WWE world, it was the decision to put the belt on what amounts to a part timer. Now, again, this isn't exactly Lesnar's fault entirely. Sure, he fought for the part time contract, but it was the WWE's decision to give him the belt in the end. It simply sucked for fans who wanted to see a more active champion. Many fans wanted to see the champ defend the belt on television week in and week out, as a fighting champion should. The other argument was that Lesnar didn't really need a belt to be a top guy. He can get by on sheer reputation.
