When you get right down to it, quitting the WWE in the first place back in 2004 was probably the biggest controversy Brock Lesnar could create in the eyes of pro wrestling fans, or at least close to it. Fans felt he was turning his back on them. His final match against Goldberg at WrestleMania that year was a travesty, and Lesnar has admitted to taking it only for the payday. Both men were set to leave the promotion, so both were booed in what should have been one of the biggest matches of their respective careers. WWE fans have long memories, but luckily for Lesnar, the move worked out in the end.
