Title Lost: World Heavyweight Championship Lost Title To: CM Punk In 2008, Edge was drafted to Smackdown while still holding the World Heavyweight Championship. He went on Raw to crow about it, but Batista took out his frustration at being screwed over at Night of Champions and left Edge laying in the middle of the ring.Cue CM Punk running to ringside with referee and Money in the Bank briefcase in tow. One GTS later, and Edge was on his way to Smackdown without his title. He also never got a rematch since he had been drafted away from his title. Punk moved on to a feud with Batista, while Edge challenged Triple H for the WWE Championship which he would win in November of that year.
