20 WWE Ruthless Aggression Era Stars You Totally Don't Remember

John Cena has had some of the most memorable feuds in recent WWE history. Names such as The Rock, Shawn Michaels, Triple H and Randy Orton instantly spring to mind. One that definitely does not is Aaron Aguilera, but he holds the distinction of facing Cena in a Pay-Per-View match. Going under the name Jesús, Aguilera battled Cena for the US Title at Armageddon 2004. The story was that Jesús had stabbed Cena in a nightclub under orders from Carlito. If that storyline seems a little graphic for a John Cena feud, this was 2004 and WWE were keen to present the man as a genuine tough guy. Overcoming the odds would become a staple of Cena's character, and he fought back from this apparent knifing to brawl with his attacker. The short rivalry with Cena wasn't the first time Aguilera had appeared on TV. He had earlier played the role of one of the Los Conquistadores at the turn of the millennium, during the whole Edge & Christian angle where they went under the gimmick. Having served his purpose with the Cena match, the Jesús character was abandoned and Aguilera was released.
