16. Racist Refereeing Helps New Day Retain The Tag Titles...In Baltimore

At the end of the match, Cesaro and Kofi Kingston are the legal men, but soon enough, Tyson Kidd and Big E also run into the ring and start fighting, causing a distraction for the referee as he attempts to restore order. At that moment, Kingston exits the ring and swaps with Woods, who rolls Cesaro into a small package and the referee, not realising the swap, counts the fall for a three count. Twitter outrage promptly followed, with many branding the referee racist for failing to tell the difference between Kingston and Woods. Granted, from his perspective it would be pretty challenging anyway, but for the WWE to use such a potentially sensitive finish to a match in Baltimore of all places wasn't the smartest idea. On one hand, it was hilarious, and on the other, a little tone-deaf and embarrassing.
