25 Most Important Wrestlers In NXT History
25. Baron Corbin
Please don't get turned off this list straight away; it's not entirely filled with people you hate. Promise.
Whilst his main roster run has left much to be desired, there's no denying that Baron Corbin played a huge role in NXT's most successful period.
Debuting for the black and yellow brand in 2012, Corbin first gained traction as a monster heel who would squash opponents in seconds.
He became a regular fixture of NXT TakeOvers, competing at 8 of the first 9. In his time, he battled the likes of Apollo Crews and Samoa Joe, and was runner-up in the very first Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic with his partner, Rhyno.
Corbin was one of the biggest heels during the Full Sail era of NXT and played villain to some of the most popular heroes of the day. He was a heat magnet, fantastic at drawing negative attention from the fans and he made sure that the audience was always on the side of the babyface.
He may consistently be the worst thing about Monday Night Raw, but there was once a time when The Lone Wolf was one of the most important pieces of the NXT puzzle.
