25 Most Revealing WWE Instagram Posts Of 2020
Which WWE Instagram posts got your attention in 2020?
With Friday Night SmackDown officially arriving on FOX and NXT finding a new home on the USA network towards then end of 2019, WWE came into this year with a spring in their step, optimistic about the future of their product and determined to squash their new competition.
Things got off to an exciting start as a certain 'Rated "R" Superstar' made his triumphant return from a career-ending neck injury at the Royal Rumble, nearly a decade on from his last in-ring outing. A "Scottish Psychopath" also came away with a career-altering Men's Rumble match win at the event, setting up a clash of the titans with WWE Champion Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 36.
What promised to be a riveting Road to WrestleMania was soon disrupted by a life-changing global pandemic, however, as WWE were suddenly forced to cram all of their upcoming programming into a scaled back Performance Center. 'Mania then became a two-night extravaganza, and the sight of performers bumping in front of an empty arena or planted PC trainees became the "new normal". But, that still didn't stop our favourite stars putting a shift in to keep us entertained during this unprecedented period.
AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan put on a SmackDown clinic. A "Tribal Chief" wrecked everyone and left. Bayley and Sasha Banks routinely reminded fans why they are two of the most talented performers in the industry. And Drew McIntyre became the first ever British WWE World Champion.
There was some joy to be had away from the WWE ring too. Becky Lynch and Seth Rollins welcomed their first child into the world. The Rock bought the f*cking XFL. Alexa Bliss got engaged. And Randy Orton fooled us all into thinking he bought a plane.
Let's face it, a lot of crazy sh*t went down in both WWE and the world as a whole in 2020, and it was nearly impossible to keep track of every single monumental event seemingly happening from week to week. So, let's remind ourselves of a few of the most revealing and shocking moments our favourite WWE stars shared with us on Instagram over the last 12 months...
