WrestleMania 37 is merely three weeks away and the final PPV pit-stop en-route to the Show of Shows is set to go down tonight at Fastlane. And that's the Bottom Line... because Vince McMahon doesn't know what the word "over-saturation" means.
Yet, with the promise of a 'Tribal Chief' meeting the ultimate underdog for the Universal Championship with a Rated R enfoRceR, Big E's power of positivity being wavered by a rejuvenated Apollo, and a Scot and an Irishman walking into a ThunderDome, could this turn out to be the best Fastlane ever? Not a particularly high bar to clear, admittedly, but it sure beats banging your head against a wall for four hours.
Also this week, fans, wrestlers, and stars of the past all joined in sharing a toast to the iconic 'Texas Rattlesnake' himself on a day dedicated to 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin. Not even the chilling anniversary of the first set of Performance Center, crowd-less early-pandemic shows could take the shine off of this hell-raising week-long tribute.
But it's most definitely all about the future, and a 'Mania 37 show that has already pretty much sold out in a matter of days. Sure, it'll be pretty damn amazing seeing live crowds back in a stadium once again watching wrasslin', it's just a shame they'll likely have to sit through Braun Strowman getting slimed out of a pirate ship cannon by Shane-O-Mac.
