Once again your writer, along with the rest of the wrestling community, had the unfortunate experience of scrolling through social media to discover yet another round of WWE releases has ravaged a talented roster this morning.

Among the many unexpected names unceremoniously given the heave-ho, multiple former NXT Champions were deemed surplus to requirements, with a number of other promising prospects not given the chance to fully fulfil their potential. Hell, B-FAB had literally just signed a main roster contract a week or so ago. What is wrong with this company?

"Budget cuts" were cited once more, despite the company posting a "better-than-expected revenue of $255.8 million" in revenue for their third quarter earnings. For those on the receiving end of this latest ridiculous round of culling, have no fear. The grass could most certainly be greener depending on where you land next in this vibrant new world outside of Vinnie Mac's greedy fantasy.

Within said freshly trimmed landscape, however, Kevin Owens took his time to remind fans (and likely management) on Raw that he's still willing to give his all to those watching on, despite his future still being very much up in the air in a matter of months time. Shotzi also finally made something of a mark on the blue brand, turning on Sasha Banks after seemingly getting over with the live crowd... because WWE logic, yeah?

And over on the multi-coloured monstrosity that is 2.0, One Final, Final, Honestly This Is It, We Swear was teased to those still clinging onto what once was in the land of NXT. Oh, and Finn Balor became a Sexy Boy on Instagram...
