2. Damian Priest and The Miz Suffer A Zombie Invasion

Brand tie-ins have become one of the harder-to-stomach aspects of WWE in recent years. These promotional invasions have been as subtle as a brick through a window, from Slim Jim logos being placed on tables to PLE matches being delayed while an advert for a movie or a US insurance firm play, and even as far as Dominik and Rey Mysterio's WrestleMania 39 match being sponsored by the very tasty but wholly inappropriate Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal.

The worst of these by a million miles is the absurd deal struck between WWE and Zack Snyder's Army of the Dead movie. This is a zombie movie, and Damian Priest vs The Miz at WrestleMania Backlash was the bout designated to be sacrificed to the gods of greed.

The outcome of this brand deal was that Priest and Miz battled at a PLE with zombie lumberjacks surrounding the ring. If that sounds ridiculous, the worst was yet to come, as John Morrison was eaten by zombies (seriously) during the match. The Miz was then cannibalized at the end of the bout, as Damian Priest left his opponent to be feasted on by men and women dressed as zombies.
