WrestleMania kicked off in true style with the entertaining opener which was the 7-man Ladder match for the Intercontinental Title, which ended with Daniel Bryan and Dolph Ziggler desperately trying to knock the other off the ladder for the win. This resulted in the pair hilariously headbutting each other dozens of times for what felt like an eternity (while Jerry Lawler commented, "Don't headbutt a goat! You can't win!"), before D-Bry finally landed the knockout blow, sending Ziggler falling to the floor, giving him time to grab his first IC Title.
