The barrel-chested Tony Marino passed away on 28 May at 90 years of age.

Marino is best known for his nine years with the then-WWWF, which was then followed up by 15 years working under the National Wrestling Alliance banner. Tony and partner Victor Rivera had a seven-month run with the WWWF International Tag Team Championships after toppling Toru Tanaka and Mitsu Arakawa in December 1969.
During his career, Marino also had spells working as the 'Battman' in order to capitalise on the growing popularly of a certain Caped Crusader.
