26. Corbin Doesn't Win The I.C. Title... For Some Reason

Here's a booking call that just straight up made zero sense. As if the I.C. Title match getting pushed to the pre-show wasn't bad enough, Baron Corbin didn't even win the strap as most expected and probably hoped he would.

In a move of "f*ck it" surprise booking, seemingly intended only to sell the idea of wrestling being unpredictable, creative went against what made sense story-wise and kept the title on Ambrose.

At least if Corbin won, then the fairly boring bout would've meant something, but instead it was a glorified TV match, and a totally uninteresting one at that.
