3 AEW Wrestlers Released
3 of AEW's British contingent just got cut from the promotion.
Jimmy Havoc, Bea Priestley, and Sadie Gibbs have been released by All Elite Wrestling.
The Wrestling Observer's Dave Meltzer confirmed the news last night. There's currently no word on why these wrestlers were cut, though Gibbs and Priestley haven't been able to perform for the company since the global health crisis kicked in, finding themselves stuck in their native UK.
Gibbs tweeted the following last night:-
Havoc and Priestley are yet to comment.
Havoc had been serving an AEW suspension following allegations made against him as the #SpeakingOut movement took flight in June, with the promotion stating they would "address his status when he has successfully completed his rehabilitation," with the 36-year-old entering rehab for mental health/substance issues. He had been facing allegations of assault, rape, and other abusive behaviour.
Priestley was a part-timer in AEW, only dropping into the promotion between stints in Japan. Her last match in Tony Khan's promotion was a tag victory on Dynamite's 11 March episode, when she teamed with Nyla Rose to beat Hikaru Shida and Kris Statlander.
Gibbs, meanwhile, hasn't featured since an October 2019 episode of Dark, which was also the last bout she wrestled anywhere in the world.
