3 Current NXT Titleholders Drafted To WWE Main Roster
What does this mean for the championships heading into next week's NXT?
The first night of the 2023 WWE Draft saw several major superstars switch brands on Friday, but a couple draft picks might have created some problems for the company's developmental brand.
Heading into the evening, Triple H warned that every Raw and SmackDown superstar was eligible to be drafted, as were several "select" NXT wrestlers. As the night wore on, the draft picks consisted entirely of red and blue brand superstars either switching shows or staying put.
But in the fourth and final round, SmackDown selected the current NXT Women's Tag Team Champions, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn. Not to be outdone, Raw with the next pick plucked NXT Women's Champion Indi Hartwell.

No word was given whether the champs could conceivably come up to the main roster while still holding their titles or if they would be forced to relinquish them, but Kayden Carter & Katana Chance immediately challenged the tag champs to a title match on NXT next week.
The new rosters won't take effect until after Backlash next weekend, so there's still time next week for a title change or for the champs to turn over their titles.
It's worth noting that Hartwell was in a boot as a result of an injury she sustained during her title defense against Tiffany Stratton and Roxanne Perez on Tuesday, so it's possible she could relinquish her title if she can't defend it.wwe
