3 Ups & 3 Downs From Last Night's NXT

Scrappy Anniversary.

As unconscionable as it is to move NXT forward a day in a week where the majority of the UK population had Monday off (meaning my brain is all over the place in regards to whereabouts in the week it thinks I am) Super Tuesday rolled around with justifiable anticipation.

This wasn't set to be a TakeOver calbire show in the middle of the week, but we were set to get a TakeOver calibre main-event. 60 minutes, four men, and the vacant NXT Championship would finally have an unseparated shoulder to call its own again. Say what you want about the way this match was put together, there was virtually no doubt that it would be mouthwatering in its execution.

However, if the past 12 months have taught us anything it's that while NXT is incredible when you're expecting average, it can be underwhelming when you're expecting fireworks. Still though, this remained one of the most anticipated episodes of the show in its current 50-week run on the USA Network.

That's right, the cake and candles are coming out in just a fortnight, so something huge must be brewing... right?
