Considering next Thursday is the anticipated NXT UK Prelude event, you would have expected last night's NXT UK to have a bit more flair surrounding it.

Instead, we were left with a three-match card; Aoife Valkyrie vs. Stevie Turner, Teoman vs. Josh Morrell, and Pretty Deadly vs. Kenny Williams and Amir Jordan. Of those matches, two were essentially pseudo squashes, one of which didn't quite hit the mark in Turner's NXT UK debut match, and the other featured a heel turn that no-one really cared about because it had more or less already happened.

Yes, Kenny Williams turning on Amir Jordan finally went down, even though Williams had technically already turned to the dark side by utilising a low blow to see off Mark Andrews and Flash Morgan Webster a few weeks back. Why would anyone care about this now?

It wasn't an entirely bad episode. The match in which Williams turned heel was alright, as was Teoman's win over Morrell. The return of Millie McKenzie, now dubbed Emilia McKenzie, was met with glee from your writer as it meant there was a fresh story for the women's division and a new match for next week.

Let's get to it...
