WrestleMania week. It's the week all wrestling fans wait for every single year, with this year's being arguably one of the more anticipated in history given the unique circumstances we're still living in.

Still, it's not preventing companies from running successful shows - The Collective being a prime example of this - and NXT UK added their name to the hat of stellar shows. NXT UK Prelude, a special edition of the standard weekly show, brought with it a mere three matches, but one was for the NXT UK Championship, one was to crown A-Kid's next Heritage Cup challenger, and one was to progress the Women's Championship story arc.

They all had their place on this card.

WALTER and Rampage Brown, in particular, were wrestling a highly-anticipated hoss battle over the brand's top title. While it's not a match fans haven't seen before elsewhere, it was still highly important as it legitimately seemed like 'The Ring General's' time as NXT UK Champion was reaching its boiling point. Millie McKenzie's official NXT UK in-ring debut as Emilia McKenzie was a good match that suffered from its booking, while Tyler Bate and Noam Dar had a superb British rounds match to open the show.
