3 Wrestlers Added To WWE's Elimination Chamber 2024 Lineup
Here's who qualified for those Elimination Chamber matches on WWE SmackDown.
WWE ran a bunch of qualifying matches for both the men's and women's Elimination Chamber bouts on Friday's episode of SmackDown, and three big names were added to the lineup on 24 February: Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton and Bianca Belair.
In an interesting twist on WWE's usual qualifying trope, two of the matches couldn't be considered a formality. Drew had to overcome AJ Styles (who was in the Undisputed Title picture recently) to bag a slot in Australia, and Orton had to beat Sami Zayn (a WrestleMania headliner and beloved babyface) to make his way.
Meanwhile, Belair pinned Michin to join Becky Lynch in the cage.
The company will run more qualifiers on TV over the next few weeks. Potential entrants for each match include names like LA Knight, Dominik Mysterio, Logan Paul, Liv Morgan, Naomi and ex-NXT standout Tiffany Stratton.
It's worth noting that the brand split went completely out the window here. WWE didn't really try to explain that, but they'd likely point to the fact this men's Chamber bout is for a crack at the World Heavyweight Title. This isn't the first time WWE has exposed their own "iron clad" division between Raw and SmackDown anyway.
