Alberto Del Rio's manager was one of many underwhelming surprise inclusions in the disappointing 2012 edition of the event, alongside the likes of announce trio Booker T, Michael Cole, and Jerry Lawler. Rodriguez - who did occasionally wrestle under a mask as El Local - was a complete waste of a spot, as he was eliminated by joke performer Santino Marella mere seconds after the faux Italian entered the bout.
