First ever Royal Rumble winner Hacksaw Jim Duggan used to hold the record for the longest time in between Royal Rumble appearances, with a gap of 17 years between 1988 and 2009.

That was eclipsed by Jeff Jarrett in 2019, who made his first entry since 1999, coming either side of his WWE exile.
