Initially entering WWE with his Powers of Pain partner The Barbarian, the split of the team in 1990 saw Warlord's singles run eclipse that of his partner, most notably in a feud with The British Bulldog.

In spite of this, Warlord's most famous moment occurred in the 1989 Royal Rumble, when Hulk Hogan eliminated him in 2 seconds- a record which stood for 20 years. He left the WWF in 1992.
