It seemed like TNA were planning big things for Mahabali Shera last year, what with him being touted as the star of their doomed India tour, and many expected that he may ultimately win the World Title Series. However, the India tour got cancelled at the last minute and he as eliminated from the Series in fairly unremarkable fashion, kick-starting a period of inactivity for the wrestler. His appearance here against Lashley marks his first in-ring match in quite some time, and you'll also notice that Shera now comes to the ring wearing pants rather than his usual trunks.
