33 WTF Moments From WWE NXT TakeOver: The End

Shock title change, shocking returns...

By Ross Tweddell /

Oh thank goodness for that, an NXT TakeOver special to banish the memory of Monday night's RAW. As good as the main roster's red brand has been since the birth of this New Era schtick, what is still considered WWE's developmental system reigns supreme. Well, it does in my eyes at least.

This TakeOver was surrounded in mystery due to the name it had been given. 'The End,' in the build up to the event at least, only seemed to suggest the conclusion of the Finn Balor and Samoa Joe feud over the NXT Championship. However, as the show drew closer and closer, rumours began to spread that it could indeed be the end of NXT altogether; rumours the main roster's brand extension would result in every big star leaving NXT gathered pace. If the likes of Nakamura, Balor, Joe and Bayley all seal promotion, you've really got to wonder how Triple H could recover in the short term.

Neverthless, each of the five matches on the card for this special were brimmed with intrgue. From the debut of Andrade 'Cien' Almas to the potential goodbye bout of Finn Balor, it looked like it was going to be all killer and no filler at the first TakeOver Special at Full Sail in 2016.

Here's 31 WTF Moments from the event, and a couple from Triple H's interview that followed the show on Facebook.

33. KEVIN!

I have no idea if Kevin Dunn works on NXT shows, but this was as clear an indication that he does than any we've seen before.

Corey Graves starts talking about "the long awaited debut of Andrade Cien Almas" but a picture of Shinsuke Nakamura and Austin Aries appears on screen.

That's it. Kevin f****d up. Since he edited WhatCulture signs out of last week's RAW gallery on WWE.com, I'm going to take any opportunity I can to besmirch our old pal Kev.

Renee Young had to be on her toes to put out this particular fire. Nice work, Kevin (maybe).
