One for the older wrestling fans out there, Bronko Lubich is a performer whose in-ring heyday was the 1960s.
Under the NWA banner, Lubich was a specialist tag team competitor before making the transition to other wrestling roles. From managing talent such as Angelo Poffo, to refereeing, to becoming a booker for WCCW, it’s fair to say that Lubich had a far greater influence on the wrestling business after his in-ring days were over.
In fact, during the WCCW days he was said to have been a mentor of sorts for talents such as Paul Bearer, Mick Foley and Steve Austin.
