After a remarkable run of over 7 years as WWF Champion, Sammartino would also go on to have a second title reign that lasted over 3 years. As such, the Italian Superman is still considered one of pro wrestling’s greatest ever superstars, with his championing of his Italian roots being one of his trademarks.
