Another South American goliath, Giant Silva (shown top and centre above) clocked in at around the 7’2” mark, making him one of the largest competitors to ever compete in the wrestling business.
Silva’s spell with Vince McMahon’s WWE lasted only a year, with him being a part of the doomed Oddities stable with other such “huge” names as Kurrgan and Golga. He’d soon be gone from the then-WWF but would have a better 7-year run in Japan in both pro wrestling and MMA.
With the huge talent pool that Brazil has, you’d have to think it’s only a matter of time before a Brazilian makes a major mark in the WWE. In the meantime, I guess they'll just keep excelling at MMA.
