Gable is currently working his Alpha Academy gimmick on SmackDown. He makes television most weeks and is focused on training ex-Heavy Machinery man Otis, alongside whom he turned heel in February. It's an undercard role, sure, but a steady one, and nowhere near as demeaning as Shorty G was.
Otis tweeted Chad a "happy birthday" on 8 March. When Gable responded calling the big man his "#1", Dax Harwood took exception:-
This is purely speculative, of course, and Harwood has never been shy of stirring the pot on social media, but WWE is the only body who could realistically prevent Gable from interacting with an AEW wrestler on social media. If that situation is going to change in around two more months, it's reasonable to assume that Harwood is implying that Chad's WWE contract is expiring.
Again, this is speculation. It's an interpretation - and it could be wrong.
But these things add up, and Harwood won't stop teasing...
