4 Ups & 2 Downs For AEW Collision (Jan 27 - Results & Review)
Two excellent matches highlight an otherwise solid AEW Collision.
Another week, another episode of AEW Collision in the books.
Of course, this week's Collision found itself in the unenviable position of going directly up against WWE Royal Rumble, which in addition to having a stacked card also often ends up being a must-watch event for those who may not even keep up with WWE. The point being, AEW was in somewhat of an uphill battle when it came to this latest Collision episode.
Still, that's not to say that Collision was phoned in, with the show headlined by a mammoth six-man elimination cage match pitting FTR and Daniel Garcia against House of Black. Adding to the drama of this bout, the episode also featured a show-long story of whether Daniel Garcia would be able to compete, whilst also offering up the possibility of Mark Briscoe as a replacement for Red Death.
Elsewhere, Serena Deeb made her return to the ring for the first time in 15 months, Mariah May had the spotlight put on her, Orange Cassidy defended the International Title against Komander, Eddie Kingston faced off against Willie Mack, Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley battled Shane Taylor Promotions, and fellow Blackpool Combat Club man Bryan Danielson took on the legendary Yuji Nagata.
A solid episode with a couple of spectacular matches, Saturday night's alright for fighting...
