2020 wrapped up for Impact Wrestling, as the Match of the Year is revealed.

As was the case with last week's episode, last night's edition of Impact Wrestling marked part two of their retrospective look at 2020 for the company. Hosted by Josh Mathews and Scott D'Amore, it took on the exact same format - end of year awards, mixed in with brief backstage tidbits, and either full matches from the year, or highlights of them.

Thus, an honorary Down here for the lack of new matches on offer. We covered that in detail last week, so to repeat it in this article would be tedious.

That's not to say it was a bad episode, though, as we were treated to a handful of sensational video packages highlighting some of the top stories of 2020. The packages for Rich Swann's rise to the top of the card, and the debuts and returns from Slammiversary, in particular, are worth going out of your way to watch. Furthermore, one of the contests we looked back at brought us to night one of Rebellion, as Willie Mack lifted the X Division Championship from Ace Austin. It reminded us that Willie can be good, so long as he isn't being thrown into repetitive stories.
