AEW Rampage was a memorable night for two wrestling companies.

No, that has nothing to do with WWE and everything to do with All Elite and IMPACT. The latter's World Championship changed hands in the very first match on AEW's new show - Christian Cage's name is in the IMPACT history books yet again, and Pittsburgh was hot for his win.

The city was also ready to welcome PA native Britt Baker back home, but her main event with Red Velvet was sullied somewhat by questionable booking and match formatting. This wasn't a banner bout for either woman, put it that way. It wasn't dreadful by any means, but some puzzling elements definitely held it back.

Elsewhere, AEW continued to make Miro look like a dominant force, then they pretty much rubbished that bout's outcome immediately. Four (that's right) commentators all shouted for house room over the action before Mark Henry dashed off to do some interviews too.

There was more good than bad, at least. The hour long format is also a massive plus for Rampage.
