4 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Oct 21)

Tony Khan needs to rip up AEW Rampage like Billy Gunn ripped that paper.

Whinging about AEW Rampage is starting to get tedious.

The weekly clearly means nothing to Tony Khan. If it did, then he wouldn't let these hour-long shows air in this state. Here's the thing: Rampage does have some good moments, but they're overshadowed big time by some of the worst stories in pro wrestling. Then, when they're not outright awful, other angles are rushed beyond belief.

You're always guaranteed to see some decent wrestling on the broadcast, because AEW's roster is stacked full of excellent workers, but the 'B' show is badly struggling for relevance heading into the final few months of 2022. Imagine Tony had to book Battle Of The Belts every week - that's what it's like.

Need some positivity? How about Orange Cassidy trying to spice up a tired Rampage segment. Or, if that's not enough, how about someone the All Elite fanbase has really taken to getting rewarded for her hard work? The Acclaimed somehow managed to offset shaky storytelling in the opener too.

Here are all the 'Ups' and 'Downs' from another largely phoned-in week for AEW's Friday night erm...delight.
