The hot feud of the moment is Samoa Joe challenging Finn Balor for his NXT title, after turning heel and attacking him a few weeks back. The feud has betrayal, ambition and in-ring credentials for days, which makes it doubly painful that the only glimpse of either man this week was Joe giving an interview in a mundane outdoors location, wearing a lime green polo shirt. After all, nothing says submission machine like a buttoned-up, pastel-coloured reebok number. This was a weird choice. I get that not every week can prominently feature every storyline (in fact, not over-exposing stars is part of NXT's charm) but this interview was just so strange in its mundanity, that it let quite a bit of air out of the feud's tires. The company could have spent their editing budget here instead, perhaps with a hard-hitting retrospective of Joe's career, and all of his most vicious moves. But no. Instead, he rocked the lime tee. Thrilling stuff.
