3. Lash Legend Adds To The Freshness
It’s really, really cool that WWE is giving so many fresh faces a platform in the women’s MITB ladder match. On Friday's show, Lash Legend beat Giulia and Charlotte Flair in a well-worked Triple Threat to qualify alongside Lola Vice, Jacy Jayne, Sol Ruca, Roxanne Perez and one more woman who's either going to be Candice LeRae, Tiffany Stratton or Tatum Paxley.
That’s a fab lineup thus far, and it could get even better. It's nice to see some new faces in the mix, at least. Coming out of Money In The Bank, we could theoretically have a completely fresh challenger for either the Women's World or core Women's Title, and that's something to celebrate. Jacy Jayne going after Chelsea Green, for example, would be great. So, mind you, would Roxanne Perez finally getting her flowers on Raw as a solo act.
Oh yes, this was a much, much better 3-way than Jayne vs. Alexa Bliss vs. Jade Cargill last week. It's worth saying that Flair acted as the general out there and was the glue holding things together. Lash looked like she was a little lost here or there, but Charlotte was on hand to guide her through, and she visibly stepped in to stop things from falling apart. That's what veterans do.
Legend deserves a proper chance to continue developing at her own pace, but the more multi-woman matches with loads of moving parts WWE puts her into, the better. That's the only way to learn. Reps are important, after all.
