2. Fun Ride To Close (And More Sami Chaos)
Firstly, it's important to address the finish to this headliner. It won't be for everyone, and it defo makes no sense that a match type with no disqualifications as a general rule just...ended without a proper outcome. What do they think this is, Hell In A Cell 2019?! Joking. If this leads to a Fatal-5-Way or something then it’ll be worthwhile. The WWE Title mix is super-competitive, at least, and there are so many branching stories to focus on or play around with.
Kevin Owens vs. Gunther vs. Finn Bálor in the main event Triple Threat was a great watch despite the fact some folks watching will detest the non-decision. It had bags of action, and it looked like anyone could come out on top. Then, Sami Zayn poked his nose into title business again by dragging Finn out of the ring mid-pin and punching referee Dan Engler. That again screwed KO out of a win, because he’d hit a stunner on Gunther and looked like scoring the 3.
From there, Zayn wiped out another official and put a stop to the match by wrecking shop before CM Punk attacked him. There were enough bells and whistles swirling around to distract from the lack of a true winner. You know what? That's perfectly acceptable on weekly episodic television here or there, and it's not like anybody in attendance felt shortchanged by what they were seeing.
There was star power, a good clip from the 3 guys officially in the match before the run-ins, then they got to see some follow up belt shots that proved logical after last week's shenanigans. More, please.
