3. Booker T Is Otherwise Great

Booker T is such a fascinating individual.

His delivery of his warped, scattered thoughts is so deeply entertaining that one could spend hours in his company, firing off any name for a brain-melting game of word association. In analysing WALTER, Booker compared him to William Regal. Not inaccurate. He then said “I remember walking into the gym, first meeting William Regal, and we wanted to kill each other.”

As he is wont to do, Booker simply left this fascinating tidbit hanging in the ether. Why did he want to kill Regal? Why did Regal, in turn, wish to kill him? Why was this hatred so sudden? Was there a breach of gym etiquette? Did Booker T say “Tell me you didn’t just say that?” because he could not, in fact, make out what the softly-spoken Brit said?

When telling this story, Booker T was fairly calm. He actually becomes louder and more aggressive when he’s simply talking about something utterly mundane.
