4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (15 May - Results & Review)
1. Second Women’s Tag Is Seriously Painful
Jade Cargill’s promo about running the women’s division was unconvincing, then Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss vs. Michin and B-FAB played before silence unless Flair was running through some traditional spots. There’s just zero menace to Jade and her crew, and it’s almost impressive that FAB and Michin have made Cargill look less-than when she should've been riding high after turning heel.
Their group also pales in comparison to newcomers like Fatal Influence, and that’s glaringly obvious to everyone other than WWE’s creative team. There was nothing to see here. Not anything worthy, at least. The crowd in South Carolina wanted Rhea Ripley but didn’t get her, and that rendered this entire promo-into-match segment useless.
It was even something Flair and Bliss brought up during a brief exchange backstage later on. They're not sure if they can trust Rhea, but bizarrely spoke about 'Mami' like she's some old pal who has had their backs all along. Erm...the entire plot of their union has been that Charlotte and Ripley don't get along, so why is Flair now pretending to be stunned that Rhea doesn't camp out around ringside for all of her matches?!
The writer who penned that Damian Priest promo must've handled this one too.
Sorry to say this, but it's over for Michin and B-FAB as a tag-team. They offer precious little, and they're not even good backup for Cargill's "I'm THAT Bitch" claims either. Stop this madness and find something else for these women to do, please. This is tortuous. Bringing them together under one roof didn't even make sense in the first place.
