4 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE WrestleMania 13
Downs...
5. The Doubles Divide
Owen Hart and Davey Boy Smith's run with the Tag Team Championships had masked the gulf in quality between those two and just about every other unit, particularly after super-workers Doug Furnas and Phil LaFon were deemed too moribund by Vince McMahon.
The pair had debuted in electric fashion at November's Survivor Series, but were bantered off by McMahon's booking by WrestleMania - evidenced by an early elimination here in a nothing encounter won by The Headbangers. There's little to complain about, but even less to deem worthy of a clash on 'The Grandest Stage'.
Mosh and Thrasher were at least over and - cruicially - current, but Smith and Hart's entire future had been reshaped within 48 hours and they had to wait until the summer to get their shot.
