4 Ups & 7 Downs From AEW Dynamite: Fight For The Fallen (August 17 - Review)
2. Dr Britt Baker DMD Vs The Bunny
Trapped back in the typical generic Dynamite women's match spot, Dr Britt Baker and The Bunny had the unenviable task of trying to re-energise the crowd following Jeff Jarrett Vs Jeff Hardy.
And it was just the literal death spot working against them.
The two were tasked with finding drama in a wholly predictable clash, doing so with only a scant few minutes to work with, and chasing an All In prize feeling ghostly in its absence elsewhere the rest of the show. It was just a slightly sad state of affairs all around - the work wasn't much to write home about and nobody bought for a second that the returning Bunny was going to take the last slot in the Wembley four way over the biggest star in the division's history.
She didn't, Baker won, reactions were muted, and yet another match graphic with more than two wrestlers in was finalised. No story, just a fixture, showing exactly zero growth from the original All In when AEW wasn't even a company. It could rule on the night (at this point a numbingly frustrating thing to keep saying), but since when was that the satisfactory bar around here?
