2. Setting The Scene

A lack of pre-WrestleMania excitement was notable in the build-up to 2002's 'Showcase Of The Immortals', but WWE did more themselves to sap the excitement in the building with some desperately dull video packages and under-thought visual presentation.

Toronto's SkyDome looked beautiful for WrestleMania 12 years prior, but the dark cavernous aesthetic was unideal and further undermined by a hideous scaffold stage.

Uninteresting, uninspired and in actuality looking like it was unfinished, the set was one of the worst in show history and felt as thrown-together as the card itself.
