After her feud with Sasha Banks produced two Match of the Year candidates, Bayley's next opponent for her Women's Championship was always going to be something of a step down. Short of rushing Asuka to the top spot, this was an inevitability and, for the record, there is nothing wrong with Alexa Bliss whatsoever. She's a fine athlete, a charismatic heel and the sole bright spark in the quagmire of vanilla pudding that is Blake & Murphy. But belt snatching? Really, that's how this starts? Bayley came out at the top of the show to address the fans, who showered her with well-deserved praise, Alexa Bliss came out, pretended to raise her hand, then yoinked the belt from her hands. There's a number of reasons why this is pretty poor way to start a feud. First of all, it's playground shenanigans, which feels like a huge remove from a freakin' Iron Woman match just one week earlier. Second, it relegated Bayley to pulling her sad duckling face, which she's surely grown out of by now - after all, she is an IRON WOMAN. Thirdly, it reminds people of this: That is not a good thing. Here's looking forward to better booking in the weeks to come.
