Raw featured eight matches Monday night, two of which were Divas bouts. Of the remaining six, three involved superstars who would later be involved in a fourth, the main event. Cena and Ambrose tagged in the opener, while Randy Orton and Seth Rollins had singles matches and later factored into the Cena-Ambrose match at the end of the show. Yes, there were other superstars involved in the first three matches, but a large segment of the WWE roster remained unused. Part of this is due to booking: The Wyatt Family is going through some kind of transition with Luke Harper and Erick Rowan being set free, but that leaves them unavailable for a match. Also, note that there wasnt a single male wrestler of color involved in a match. (Mark Henry showed up for moral support.) Big E, Kofi Kingston, R-Truth, Titus ONeil and Xavier Woods stayed on the sidelines, with Big E, Kofi and Woods still in no-mans land when it comes to their long-rumored faction. Guys like Zach Ryder, Curtis Axel and Fandango arent getting any screen time in their absence, though. Factor in the injuries that have currently beset WWE (Roman Reigns, Ryback, Bad News Barrett and Daniel Bryan, to name a few) and the roster looks thinner than it has in a long time. Its becoming troubling, especially when you consider that the way Hell in a Cell matches are shaping up, it looks like the same 20 wrestlers who competed at Night of Champions will be involved, just shuffled about a little.
