4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE SmackDown (July 23)
3. The Divas Revolution Continued
Another divas match that was given a significant amount of time means the girls are definitely an "up" this week.
This time it was the Bella Twins teaming up together to face the duo of Naomi and Sasha. When looking at this match on paper (or a computer screen), the first thought was that it would be tough to get the crowd into it with two heel teams. However, the Bellas randomly worked as faces in this match and the crowd was behind them as they got the win.
While there's a part of me that's upset about Banks on the losing end of a match so soon after being called up to the main roster, at least it was Naomi that got pinned instead of her.
It's also good that the Divas Champion Nikki Bella was on the winning side instead of losing, which is common to see in a tag match.
The match was given 12 minutes of TV time, which means there were three divas matches over 10 minutes if you combine Raw and Smackdown this week. That's a step in the right direction.
