4 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE Smackdown (Mar 12)

A returning Mark Henry wanted Roman Reigns to prove himself.

The role of Smackdown during the road to WrestleMania has been the show where they promote matches that aren't really the most important matches at WrestleMania. Since there's no chance of seeing some of the top names on Smackdown because they're apparently too important to be there, WWE has chosen to focus on the Intercontinental Title more than anything. As a result of that focus, the IC Title match at WrestleMania (a Ladder Match with seven competitors) has had a pretty good build to it. That build continued with this week's Smackdown since the opening segment (a promo, of course) and the main event were dedicated to hyping up the IC Title match. There was something of a surprise return this week as Mark Henry showed up on Smackdown to confront Roman Reigns. He wasn't advertised and we haven't seen him in months, but he looks to be in great shape. He's likely going to be in the battle royal at WrestleMania although he wasn't there to talk about that. He was there to help Reigns because WWE knows that that Roman certainly needs it. The results from the show were as follows: Tyson Kidd, Cesaro & Los Matadores d. The Usos & Kofi Kingston/Xavier Woods Ryback d. The Miz AJ Lee & Paige d. Summer Rae & Cameron Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose & Dolph Ziggler d. Bad News Barrett, Luke Harper & Stardust Here are four ups and four downs from this week's show.
