5. ‘Building Momentum’

It would be easy to list this as a “down” every week because every time Michael Cole mentions it, you want to stick icepicks in your ears.

But Monday night, it was excessively bad, the phrase “building momentum” was used at least three times during the Seth Rollins/Finn Balor match, with Corey Graves adding that even when Rollins lost in the lengthy gauntlet match last month, he still built momentum, and “you need momentum on your side.”

Aaaaaarrrrgggghhh.

Seriously. That is just ridiculous. Who even talks like that? NO ONE. No one talks about building momentum, not like that, and not as frequently as Vince McMahon yells about it in the announcers’ ears.
