4 Ups And 7 Downs From WWE NXT 2.0 (Dec 21)
3. Raquel And Dakota Go To War
It has to be said that the sight of numerous pieces of plunder filling up the squared-circle as two developmental darlings beat seven lumps of sh*t out of one another is becoming something of a weekly occurrence on this revamped NXT product.
And in the latest instance of controlled carnage, a rolling start saw Dakota Kai jump Raquel Gonzalez in the back before their Street Fight - which Vic Jospeh so kindly reminded us "doesn't actually need to start in the street" - has even officially gotten underway. Apparently this type of no rules fight must still kick off in the ring. LOL.
But no matter, the two bitter rivals slugged it out in the back with lawndarts into cages and trolly dashes into garage doors before fighting it through picture-in-picture to duke it out at ringside. Admittedly, this sort of chaotic storm of gnarly bumps followed by rapid recoveries so they could move onto the next devastating spot isn't for everyone. But those who enjoy watching two former pals scream at each other over a betrayal of trust were likely fully onboard by the time Gonzalez Chingona bombed Kai into oblivion and straight through a trash can - post-steel steps-bomb, for good measure - for the win.
But as one chapter seemingly closes another would open... for better or worse as your writer has already noted.
