4 Ups And Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Nov 24th)

1. Hornswoggle€™s In Charge!

He has to be, right? WWE €œpaid off€ its awful anonymous Raw general manager angle a couple years back by having Santino discover that the anonymous GM actually was Hornswoggle, sitting on a computer under the ring, making bad matches. It obviously was a silly way to tie up a long-standing loose end, and if that€™s where the story died, then it was fine in the long run. But when the e-mail-happy GM returned Monday night, it raised the question: Will WWE acknowledge Hornswoggle, or just ignore that segment entirely? Not to mention, the anonymous Raw GM only really worked with Michael Cole as a heel reading the €œe-mails€ smugly and booking wrestlers in awful matches. Having him as a face hurts the impact of reading those edicts. http://youtu.be/3KcFmn1pdnU?t=48s Perhaps the worst part of this whole anonymous GM fiasco was that it ended Raw, which was riding a high note of Ziggler and Bryan celebrating with Cena in the ring. It€™s like throwing cold water on a brightly burning torch. More broadly, WWE needs to lock down a permanent GM in the coming weeks. The longer the ship doesn€™t have a captain, the worse it will get with random leaders. At least this week€™s GM made perfect sense.
