Despite the WWE being hugely averse to the red stuff in their current PG climate, they still let it flow for this main event, in which Taker threw Brock into the steel ring post, causing him to bleed profusely all over himself (and made to look worse as Brock pulled the classic Ric Flair tactic of smearing it in his blonde hair). Of course, this caused a medic to come into the ring to stitch him up, much to the chagrin of the live crowd. After sustaining chair shots and a severe beating from an incensed Brock, Taker himself was also busted open a few minutes later.
